Dr. Janell Carroll is a college professor, author, international scholar, mother, animal lover, and also a sexologist. Her research has been published in a variety of national and international journals and she has written syndicated columns and articles. Dr. Carroll has also hosted a top rated radio talk show and is the author of a highly acclaimed college-level textbook entitled Sexuality Now: Embracing Diversity and a popular book for young women entitled The Day Aunt Flo Comes To Visit: An Honest Conversation About Getting Your Period.
Dr. Carroll is an adjunct faculty member of the Psychology Department at the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Connecticut. She lectures and presents her research at meetings and symposiums around the globe. She has appeared as an expert on a variety of television news and entertainment shows including NBC, CBS, Oxygen, Lifetime, and the Montel Williams show and has received mention in the Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Hartford Courant, Prevention, Women’s Health, Self, Glamour, and Men’s Health magazines, and other publications.
