Dr. Carroll is committed to developing a cross-cultural understanding of sexuality. She is currently working with Red Pill Productions on a new and exciting television show entitled Sex Culture. Sex Culture is a sexually explicit, non-pornographic, documentary that exposes the sexual beliefs, values, customs and behaviors of people from around the world.

In late 2007, Dr. Carroll travelled to Paris, France to explore the risqué x-rated entertainment of Paris’s Place Pigalle, in addition, she investigated how children learn about sex, same-sex relationships, public displays of affection, erotic art, sex therapy, and the use and popularity of sex toys.

In August of 2008, Dr. Carroll travelled to Tokyo, Japan, where she was able to infiltrate some of Tokyo’s underground sex industry. Here she spent a night in a Japanese Love Hotel, visited Maid Cafes and Hostess clubs, and explored a graphic sadomasochistic art gallery.

In late 2008, Dr. Carroll travelled to Holland where she met with Xaveria Hollander (The "Happy Hooker") to explore prostitution and sexuality. She also interviewed the Director of Programming at BNN, a public television station that airs a racy sex show aimed at adolescents called Spuiten & Slikken. Finally, Dr. Carroll also explored the nature and acceptance of pedophilia and met with the Chairman of the Dutch political party Partij voor Naastenliefde. This controversial group is attempting to change the legal age of sexual consent from 16 to 12 and allow children to prostitute themselves.
